Freya's Health Runes

When I began my study of the runes it was with the more commonly known 24 runes (24 futhark.) Subsequently Ragnar, my husband, and myself began to feel more of an affinity with the 18 runes discovered by Guido Von List. We feel that these are a more contemporary version of the runes and in many ways more suited to changing times and modern day than the older 24.

As I continued my studies, I found that each one of the 18 runes not only corresponds to a different part of the body but also to the ailment that might be affecting each area. Encouraged by this knowledge it inspired me to create 18 rune cards which could be used for meditation or used in conjunction with an orgone device for added power. The runes and thier correspondenses to body parts as well as ailments is listed below:

Rune

FA : represents Help. It helps with ailments of the head, fever, burns fat, represents skin and bones. Purification

Rune

UR: represents Health. It is healing in general. Finds the roots of the ailments. Is the neck. liver and nervous system.

Rune

Thorn: represents Protection. It is the aura of health.

Rune

Os: represents Odin. It corresponds to the chest, back and neck. (use it with UR)

Rune

Rit: represents Ceremonial Law. It is the Chakra of the throat.

Rune

KA: represents High Mysteries. It helps with the digestive organs and fever (use it with IS)

Rune

Hagal: represents The World Tree. It helps the kidneys, bladder, and loins.

Rune

Nod: represents Need. It helps infectious disease and skin problems (use with Laf.)

Rune

IS: represents I or Me. It helps the neck, liver, nerves (use it with UR) or digestive track (use with KA)

Rune

AR: represents Light or Sun. It strengthens the lifeforce and counters hallucination and possesion

Rune

SIG: represents Victory. It can be used for the nerves and the tendons (use with MAN)

Rune

TYR: represents Sacrifice. It helps the blood, gout and arthritus.

Rune

BAR: represents Birth. It helps with the female organs and birth.

Rune

LAF: represents Life. It helps with infectious diseases and skin problems (use with NOD.)

Rune

Man: represents Humanity. It helps with accidents, trauma and injuries (use with IS.)

Rune

YR: represents Woman. It helps with the lower abdomen and the sexual organs.

Rune

EH: represents Marraige. It balances the glands, lymphatic system, and counters depression.

Rune

GIBOR: represents a Gift. It helps procreation and transmutation.

To use the the rune cards pick up the card or cards that correspond to the ailment that you are experiencing. Look at the rune with great concentration. Imagine it is bright red with glowing flames encircling it. Then begin by slowly taking deep breaths in and out, in and out. Picuture yourself breathing the rune into your body with the slow, life giving intake of each breath . Imagine the rune moving and finally resting at the place you are experiencing trouble. With each breath out intonate (say the runes name.) Repeat this meditation for about five minutes three times a day.
